Principal, Product Manager – Global Platform Solutions
Ingram Micro is looking for a Principal, Product Manager to lead the strategy, design, and execution of innovative platform and vendor solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
This is a strategic product leadership role at the intersection of Product Management, Solution Architecture, Technology, Vendor Partnerships, and Business Transformation.
The ideal candidate combines strong product management capabilities with the ability to understand complex technology ecosystems, design end-to-end solutions, work directly with strategic vendors and partners, and drive initiatives from concept → solution → build → launch → adoption → measurable value.
The role also requires fluency in emerging technologies, particularly AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI, and the ability to identify practical opportunities to apply these technologies to enhance platform capabilities, automate workflows, and create differentiated vendor and partner solutions.
Your Role
Lead Platform & Vendor Solution Initiatives
- Own product strategy and solution definition for significant platform and vendor initiatives.
- Translate customer, partner, vendor, and business needs into scalable product solutions.
- Define product vision, capabilities, requirements, MVP scope, roadmaps, and success metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform adoption, customer experience, automation, revenue, and operational efficiency.
- Develop reusable capabilities and solution patterns that can scale across vendors and markets.
- Partner with senior product and business leaders to align initiatives with broader platform strategy.
Product Management + Solution Architecture
- Operate as a product leader with strong solution architecture capabilities.
- Design end-to-end solutions spanning applications, APIs, data, integrations, workflows, business rules, and downstream systems.
- Translate complex business requirements into practical and scalable product and technology solutions.
- Partner with architecture and engineering teams to validate technical approaches and feasibility.
- Understand system dependencies, integration requirements, data flows, and operational impacts.
- Balance customer value, technical complexity, scalability, cost, and speed to market.
- Drive solutions toward reusable platform capabilities rather than one-off implementations.
Drive Strategic Vendor & Partner Solutions
- Work directly with strategic technology vendors and partners to identify and develop new solution opportunities.
- Understand vendor products, technologies, APIs, data, business models, and priorities.
- Lead vendor discovery, solution design, requirements, integration planning, pilots, and launches.
- Define the platform capabilities and vendor investments required to enable differentiated solutions.
- Build trusted relationships with vendor product, technology, and business teams.
- Identify opportunities to expand vendor solutions into additional customers, markets, and use cases.
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic vendor initiatives and executive engagements.
Apply AI & Emerging Technologies
- Identify practical opportunities to apply AI to platform experiences, products, and business processes.
- Evaluate opportunities to evolve workflows from manual → automated → AI-assisted → agentic.
- Incorporate meaningful AI opportunities into product roadmaps and solution strategies.
- Partner with architecture, engineering, data, and AI teams to develop AI-enabled capabilities.
- Work with vendors and partners to understand their AI capabilities and identify opportunities to create new solution offers.
- Stay current on emerging technology and translate relevant innovations into actionable product opportunities.
Drive Innovation & Growth
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, gross profit, customer acquisition, partner growth, portfolio penetration, and platform adoption.
- Develop business cases and hypotheses for new products, capabilities, and solution opportunities.
- Lead pilots, MVPs, and experiments to validate high-value opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for cross-sell, upsell, subscriptions, services, automation, and marketplace expansion.
- Use customer, partner, vendor, and platform insights to identify opportunities for growth and product improvement.
- Establish KPIs and measure outcomes after launch to continuously optimize solutions.
Own End-to-End Execution
- Drive initiatives from discovery through launch, adoption, and value realization.
- Translate strategy and solution concepts into executable product backlogs and roadmaps.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, UX, data, operations, commercial, finance, and vendor teams.
- Manage dependencies, risks, priorities, and cross-functional decisions.
- Remove execution blockers and maintain momentum across teams.
- Ensure solutions are delivered with quality and achieve intended customer and business outcomes.
What you bring to the role:
- 8+ years of experience in product management, solution architecture, technology strategy, digital transformation, consulting, or enterprise technology.
- Proven experience leading complex products, solutions, or technology initiatives from concept through execution and measurable outcomes.
- Strong combination of product management and solution design/architecture skills.
- Experience working across complex enterprise systems, APIs, integrations, data, and business processes.
- Experience working with technology vendors, partners, or enterprise customers.
- Ability to translate emerging technology into practical product and business solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, APIs, cloud/SaaS, integrations, and digital commerce.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B technology distribution, cloud, SaaS, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, or enterprise technology.
- Experience working with major technology vendors, hyperscalers, or ISVs.
- Experience building AI-enabled products or business solutions.
- Experience with CPQ/configuration, digital commerce, subscriptions, renewals, marketplaces, lifecycle management, or partner ecosystems.
- Experience taking products or solutions from 0→1 and scaling from 1→N.
- Experience working in agile product development environments.
- Experience developing joint solutions or go-to-market initiatives with technology vendors.
