About this Role:

As our DevOps Engineer, you will own the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of our production systems. You’ll build secure cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines that power our worldwide real-time services. You’ll partner closely with software, hardware, and autonomy teams to improve system performance, incident response, and developer velocity.

Key Responsibilities:

Own platform design, cloud services uptime, and on-call practices for worldwide real-time services

  • Build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment systems
  • Implement observability (metrics/logs/tracing), alerting, and incident response/postmortems
  • Drive capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cost/performance optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support live drone data streaming and customer workflows

Qualifications:

  • Degree in CS or related field, with 5+ years operating production systems and building infrastructure
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals; comfortable writing production-quality code (Python/Node/Javascript, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern cloud patterns
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and safe release processes
  • Excellent attention to detail around security, scalability, and performance
  • AWS infrastructure familiarity (networking, IAM, core services, and production operations)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience building and supporting services that interacts with critical real-time edge devices (drones, robotics, autonomous vehicles)
  • Familiarity with containers and service orchestration
  • Experience with real-time/streaming systems or low-latency distributed services
  • Familiarity with security best practices (secrets management, encryption, least privilege)
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, take initiative, and communicate effectively
