SUMMARY
Carel USA is seeking a self-starting Sales Engineer to join our team at the forefront of HVAC/R control technology, supporting a highly technical customer base. The ideal candidate can clearly communicate the features and benefits of Carel's technology and its applications to stakeholders and decision-makers across end users, contractors, and OEMs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate based on direction and priorities set by the sales team and Managing Director, collaborating with the software solutions team to execute strategic initiatives
- Develop and deliver product demonstrations and presentations on key technical aspects of CAREL solutions
- Review customer specifications, sequence of operations, and related documentation to prepare proposals and quotations
- Provide technical support as needed
- Conduct on-site customer trainings
- Participate in HVAC/R system start-ups as necessary
- Promote CAREL technology to stakeholders and influencers across Contractors, OEMs, and End Users
- Research and share market intelligence, competitor activity, and business dimensioning for assigned markets
- Communicate across customer functions (R&D, Hardware & Software, Operations, Sales, Field Services, Training, Support) and with CAREL's forecasting, R&D, and software development teams to relay improvement feedback
- Provides analytical and strategic support to Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and the Managing Director by delivering actionable insights, sales data analysis, performance tracking, and recommendations to optimize sales strategy and business growth
- Manage meeting agendas, visit reports, and related CRM updates to support the sales team and keep customer records current
- Relay customer feedback to product management, technical services, and marketing

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Degree from an accredited college, university, or technical school preferred, or 5+ years of relevant experience in the HVAC/R industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Posses language skills to effectively present information and engage customers in all levels of an organization both face to face and in groups. In addition, needs to have ability to understand and provide an array of instructions in written form.
REASONING ABILITY - Critical thinker with the ability to solve problems and emotional intelligence to deal to people in different day to day situations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT – Office and field settings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear.
