We are looking for a Project Manager, Civil Works to strengthen our Substation business in Finland. About the position
As a Project Manager for civil works, you will play a key role in our turnkey substation projects, acting as the person responsible for the civil works scope throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibility is to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and with high customer satisfaction.
You will lead and coordinate civil construction activities by being involved from the early sales phase through project execution until final completion. In this role, you will work closely with customers, internal project teams, engineering experts, contractors and authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.
Your responsibilities include planning and supervising civil construction works, coordinating contractors, monitoring project schedules and costs, and ensuring compliance with applicable permits, regulations and quality requirements. The role involves regular site visits and active presence at construction sites to support project progress and resolve challenges effectively. You will also participate in contractor selection and procurement processes, ensuring that the most suitable partners are chosen for each project.
In addition, you will contribute to project development already during the sales phase by providing expertise related to construction execution, cost estimation, schedules and project risks.
About you
This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in construction and infrastructure projects supporting the energy transition.
You have a technical education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in civil engineering, construction management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. You have solid experience in civil construction projects, preferably related to substations, power generation facilities, hydropower plants or other industrial energy infrastructure projects.
You have a good understanding of construction methods, contractor management and project execution. Experience with construction permits, authority requirements, construction supervision and larger contracts is considered an advantage.
As a Project Manager, you can balance the big picture with attention to detail. You take ownership of your projects and ensure progress, quality and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

You are able to work in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. Other language skills, such as Swedish, are considered an advantage.

Location
Your office would preferably be located at our headquarters in Vaasa, but our other Finnish offices in Seinäjoki, Tampere, Paimio or Rovaniemi are also possible locations. We work in a hybrid model and support flexibility in balancing work and personal life.
The role requires regular travel and site visits across Finland.
