Overview
In this role, the ERP Finance Business Analyst will support the Corporate Finance Systems team, including Infor ERPLN (Billing and General Ledger systems) and related workflow applications, processes, and policies, ensuring that financial systems efficiently provide timely support to global operations while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and other regulatory requirements.
The role will contribute to finance system enhancements, implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying business requirements and delivering effective solutions within the finance systems landscape.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Ensure the availability and effective operation of core finance systems, including Infor ERPLN and related workflow applications, by troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance Systems function to enhance system efficiency, performance, and user experience.
Operational Management
- Provide support to the Financial Accounting and Management Reporting teams for month-end close, year-end close, ledger reconciliations, integrations, taxation, and financial reporting requirements within finance systems.
- Support finance systems projects, including system enhancements, modifications, deployments, and integrations with other business applications and platforms.
- Proactively analyse and minimise system downtime in accordance with defined SLAs within the Finance Systems Support Plan, ensuring appropriate business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements are in place.
- Review, evaluate, and coordinate the application of critical system patches, while supporting system and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Conduct feasibility assessments, high-level solution design, requirements gathering, business case preparation, stakeholder approvals, and project planning activities.
- Provide timely resolution of finance system queries and support finance teams during month-end and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate monthly patch deployments, system releases, testing activities, and user onboarding initiatives.
- Coordinate audit activities and provide the required documentation and evidence to support internal and external audits.
People Leadership
- Collaborate with the Finance Systems team to deliver shared objectives within agreed timelines, ensuring effective system support for global teams.
- Train and support users on new features and system enhancements, and develop user guides, process documentation, and training materials.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Technology and Operations teams, to gather enhancement requirements, evaluate optimal solutions, and ensure the timely resolution of related issues.
Governance & Risk
- Maintain, monitor, and report on finance system governance and risk controls, including access provisioning, change management, user access reviews, and internal and external audit requirements.
- Support the review of business processes and controls across various functions, interfaces, and workflows, identifying and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and align with industry best practices.

Experience & Personal Attributes
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in corporate finance systems, accounting, or information systems, including a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Infor ERPLN finance systems.
- Qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline, such as CA, CMA (CWA), M. Com, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with Infor CloudSuite / Cloud Infor ERP and Infor ERPLN 10.x; cloud implementation experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in ERP system implementations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of SOX controls, internal and external audit requirements, user access reviews, and change management practices.
- Strong technology acumen, including application support, system analysis, report development, and system upgrade management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, complex formulas, and macros.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial and system data using SQL and develop meaningful reports and insights for business stakeholders.
