How will you help us make an impact? 👩💻👨💻
Clariti is seeking a skilled Product Designer to join our design team on a full-time contract basis through the end of 2026. This is a hands-on role for a designer who is energized by complexity, comfortable designing in a world where the design function is an integral part of an AI-native product development team. This isn’t a traditional design role as you’ll work directly inside an agentic build system using Claude and Figma in a hybrid workflow to craft designs. You’ll partner with our existing Senior Product Designer on the full design surface from UX research through to dev handoff, and you’ll be expected to shape how AI-assisted design works at Clariti.
This is a collaborative, fast-moving team where design operates as a valued partner to product and engineering. The work is meaningful, the canvas is wide, and the problems are genuinely hard. The successful candidate is passionate about creating experiences that make government work better for the people who run it and the citizens they serve.
As a Product Designer at Clariti, you’ll get to :
End-to-End Design Execution
- Own the full design arc from user flows through wireframes, high-fidelity screens, and interactive prototypes.
- Design experiences where AI is a natural part of the workflow translating complex capabilities into clear, trustworthy interactions.
- Use a Figma + Claude Design hybrid workflow to generate and iterate on screens that produce production-ready UX/UI, build clickable HTML prototypes for demos and validation
- Design for local municipal government staff and public applicant personas across complex, multi-role workflows.
- Ensure every touchpoint is accessible, consistent, and built for real-world use.
- Stay current on emerging design patterns particularly as AI changes how users interact with software and apply them with intentionality, not novelty.
Discovery & Research
- Lead and participate in user research, such as interviews, usability testing, and synthesis leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate insight generation where appropriate.
- Develop deep empathy for the problems local government staff face and translate that into design decisions grounded in evidence.
- Partner with Product to validate concepts early and often, reducing delivery risk.
Design System & Component Contribution
- Contribute to and extend a shared design system, maintaining consistency across a growing product surface area.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure components are buildable and design intent is preserved through implementation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to move work from idea to shipped.
- Present work clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
What do you bring to the team? 🧠
- 4+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking and high-quality visual execution.
- Comfort designing products where AI is part of the experience, thinking about how AI changes user expectations and design for it accordingly
- Hands-on experience with Claude or similar LLMs as a design partner
- Proficiency in Figma & Claude Design, including component libraries and prototyping.
- Strong end-to-end design skills: IA, flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI across web applications.
- Experience leading or contributing to user research and usability testing.
- Clear, confident communicator who can articulate design decisions and take feedback constructively.
- Self-directed, accountable, and you are comfortable driving your own work forward in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Comfortable working in a remote-first environment
Bonus Points 🎉
- Experience designing enterprise or government-facing SaaS products.
- Exposure to design for complex, multi-persona, or workflow-heavy applications (e.g., case management, permitting, licensing).
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+) and inclusive design practices.
- Familiarity with agentic development frameworks
