Job Description: This job is responsible for configuring complex software delivery automation. Key responsibilities include ensuring software deployments are configured to meet access, ownership, and authentication standards. This job may modify code for software deployment automation and ensures software promotion pipelines for complex/high availability applications follow Continuous Delivery best practices. Job expectations include the ability to integrate development, testing practices, software delivery tools, and runtime application standards at the bank.
Position Summary:
The HPS Cloud Engineering/DevOps team builds and operates a highly secure, regulated AWS platform supporting healthcare payment systems. The team owns Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines with security gating, and platform reliability across environments. The platform is evolving toward multi-region resiliency and cloud-native deployment pattern.
Responsibilities:
- Configures and maintains the set of tools and services that provide Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) services and validates access control mechanisms for the Software and Infrastructure Engineering team throughout the software development lifecycle
- Reviews the configuration of applications servers to confirm that CI/CD service platform onboarding pre-requisites are available and configured properly
- Monitors and responds to alerts based on the key performance indicators (KPI) for the services supporting CI/CD and escalated events and issues from DevOps Engineers, creating issues and action-plan summaries for stakeholders
- Mentors and clarifies issues and practices for DevOps Engineers
- Works with Infrastructure, Solutions Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers to understand changes in CI/CD service platform components and behaviors and planned changes in monitoring and alerting capabilities
- Responds to risk or audit identified issues with access control processed designed for compliance with firm separation of duties practices, and software release management standards and policies
- Executes change tickets for CI/CD service onboarding and decommissioning using approved change management processes as scheduled by Software or Infrastructure Engineers
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)
- Develop and support secure CI/CD pipelines with validation, scanning, and approval gates
- Implement cloud architecture patterns including high availability, failover, and multi-region designs
- Support platform standardization and governance, ensuring auditability and repeatable deployments
- Collaborate with application teams to onboard and migrate workloads to cloud infrastructure
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and reliability
- Implement and support security controls, including vulnerability remediation and compliance requirements
- Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues across environments (Dev, SIT, Prod)
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and deployment standards to support consistent execution
- Participate in release activities and ensure safe, controlled deployments
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in cloud, infrastructure, or solutions engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, Route 53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch)
- Proven experience with Terraform, including module development, state management, and debugging
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines including build, scan, approval, and deployment workflows
- Experience with cloud security practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools
- Understanding of networking, load balancing, and application connectivity in AWS environments
- Experience working across multi-environment deployments (Dev, Test, Prod)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and application deployment layers
- Ability to work in Agile delivery models and manage concurrent priorities
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work across engineering and leadership teams
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with containerized platforms and image management (Docker, ECS/EKS)
- Experience with security scanning tools and vulnerability management processes
- Exposure to blue/green deployments, progressive routing, or traffic shifting strategies
- Experience working in regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, etc.)
- Familiarity with Java/Ruby/,NET application environments.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash)

Pay range
$107,000.00 - $148,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
