Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Project Manager to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Center for Information Technology (CIT) for the Business Applications Services (BAS) Program, specifically the FMG Applications portfolio. FMG Apps support financial management, billing, fee‑for‑service activities, and reporting workflows across NIH. The Project Manager oversees daily operational planning, sprint activities, communication routing, and cross‑team coordination across financial applications.

The Project Manager leads tasks across requirements refinement, testing coordination, schedule planning, release cycles, and communication with financial stakeholders.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Planning FMG work assignments and release schedules
  • Coordinating financial system tasks with Government stakeholders
  • Supporting sprint execution and iterative planning activities
  • Conducting contract reporting, documentation updates, and communication routing
  • Supporting requirements, design, development, testing, and release work
  • Facilitating coordination across NIH financial offices
  • Leading onboarding and alignment for new FMG personnel
  • Coordinating risks, issues, and workload forecasting

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing IT projects of similar size and complexity using similar technologies
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects in agile or iterative EPLCs
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading IT projects for the Federal Government
  • Ability to work with key owners and stakeholders in financial functions
  • Ability to lead teams in analyzing and adopting new technologies quickly
  • Solid understanding of Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing, and EPLC
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NIH Public Trust

Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting NIH or CIT environments
  • Experience supporting financial, billing, or fee‑for‑service systems
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Active NIH badge is a plus

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
