Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering, with a master's degree being preferred. The role requires at least 8 years of management experience in engineering processes and 3 years of experience in operations.

Full description

This role is open to Sheboygan Wisconsin, Dickson Tennessee, Glasgow Kentucky or Sylacuaga Alabama locations.

Objective

Ensure a systematic management of effective risk mitigation through the application of problem‑solving methodologies, as well as ensure early involvement in new programs and support and manage the deployment of best practices across the plants, with the objective of contributing to Operational Excellence in the plants.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the capture of effective controls in the Master PFMEAs, together with the different Master PFMEA committees for the critical processes of the Plants.
  • Ensure the execution of frequent audits to the manufacturing processes in the Plants, with a primary focus on process parameters
  • Ensure and establish early involvement in new programs, promoting participation with the Core Teams and Technical Reviews to guarantee effective risk mitigation.
  • Support the effective implementation of the SLCP in new programs that are already operating in the Plants.
  • Define, negotiate, and manage Cost Reduction Projects that benefit the Plants
  • Agree on and manage Technical Problem-Solving projects focused on resolving critical issues in the Plants.
  • Manage the implementation of lessons learned and best practices across the different Plants, deployed during the Expert Meetings
  • Provide support in the review and approval of Process Changes and general Standards in the Plants.
  • Manage the team under responsibility (direct and indirect) to ensure the achievement of the objectives of the Process Engineering area in both the Central team and the Plants.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Metallurgy or IE Required
  • Masters degree desired
  • At least 8 years management experience in engineering processes
  • At least 3 years experience in operations
  • Quality Engineering and Product Engineering experience desired
  • Certifications in Red-X Shainin and Change Management
