POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager, OCM Communications plays a key role in driving user awareness, engagement, and adoption across IT-led projects and deployments. This role is responsible for designing and executing effective communication strategies that support organizational change initiatives, ensuring that stakeholders are informed, prepared, and engaged throughout the change lifecycle.

As part of the BRM and OCM function, this role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to deliver clear, consistent, and impactful messaging aligned with business goals and Vertiv standards. The role contributes directly to successful adoption outcomes, measured through communication effectiveness, user readiness, and feedback mechanisms, and serves as the single point of accountability for OCM communications execution across assigned initiatives. This role supports the BRM Sr. Manager, OCM & Deployments, by leading communications workstreams across key projects/programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

OCM Communications & Engagement

  • Execute OCM communication plans aligned to project objectives, timelines, and stakeholder needs
  • Establish and manage communication cadence aligned with deployment milestones and leadership expectations
  • Manage communications intake and tracking (e.g., request forms, comms tracker), ensuring compliance with OCM governance and alignment to deployment milestones
  • Create and manage multi-channel communications, including:
  • Email campaigns and broadcast messaging
  • Newsletters and updates
  • SharePoint and Microsoft Teams content
  • Leadership presentations
  • Produce high-quality communication materials such as:
  • End-user communications and FAQs
  • Adoption and readiness messaging
  • Stakeholder updates and reports

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with BRMs, project managers, SMEs, and leadership to:
  • Gather communication requirements
  • Validate messaging and key decisions
  • Ensure alignment across initiatives
  • Act as a communications advisor, recommending messaging approaches, timing, and channels based on change impact
  • Monitor and manage inbound deployment communications (e.g., shared mailbox), triage questions/issues, and coordinate timely follow-ups with project teams (PMs/CMs/SMEs)
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities and feedback loops

Digital Platforms & Collaboration

  • Own and maintain SharePoint and Microsoft Teams sites as centralized communication hubs
  • Define and maintain content structure, navigation, and archival standards
  • Support SharePoint governance activities, including permissions management, to ensure secure and consistent collaboration aligned with organizational standards
  • Ensure content is organized, accessible, and up to date
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams

Adoption & Readiness Support

  • Support OCM activities including:
  • Audience analysis and stakeholder mapping
  • User readiness communications
  • Reinforcement messaging post-deployment
  • Support readiness checkpoints and go live communications aligned with OCM governance and deployment criteria
  • Partner with change/training leads to update or create end-user enablement materials (job aids, training updates, FAQs) aligned to communications and release changes
  • Track and report on communication effectiveness and adoption metrics

Continuous Improvement

  • Gather feedback and insights to improve communication strategies
  • Apply best practices and lessons learned from prior deployments
  • Support innovation in communication approaches and tools

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of industry experience in Information Technology with a focus on OCM / Deployment Practice.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in a global organization
  • Familiarity with OCM methodologies
  • Experience working with cross functional and remote teams
  • Experience supporting phased or wave based global deployments
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously is required
  • Experience supporting IT projects, system deployments, or digital transformation initiatives.
