What You Will Do
The Product Manager will own the product strategy and roadmap for Alchemer’s analytics and data visualization products. This role blends strategic, forward-looking work of product management, such as shaping vision, positioning, and go-to-market strategy, with tactical ownership, such as prioritizing features, enhancements, and technical debt in close partnership with Engineering. You’ll work cross-functionally with other product managers, business leaders, and customers to turn market opportunity and customer feedback into a well-defined, well-prioritized body of work.
How You Will Spend Your Days
- Develop and evolve the strategic vision and roadmap for Alchemer’s analytics products, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term product vision.
- Work with other product managers and business leaders to understand trade-offs and prioritization of features based on overall product vision.
- Partner with software engineers and subject matter experts to define technical requirements, establish technical direction, and evaluate trade-offs between usability and performance.
- Own the product backlog, prioritizing features, enhancements, bug fixes, and technical debt by reconciling executive-level business priorities with Engineering’s capacity and constraints.
- Champion the adoption of AI and ML capabilities within analytics products to deepen insights and drive customer engagement.
- Analyze market opportunities, usage data, and customer feedback to refine product positioning and prioritization for maximum ROI.
- Track and evaluate KPIs to measure adoption, engagement, and the success of key analytics initiatives.
- Contribute to the creation of a differentiated go-to-market strategy with stakeholders, enhancing our position in the AI-powered analytics space.
- Identify and help resolve roadblocks impeding software development and provide functional expertise on analytics products to internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate directly with internal and external customers to gather input for product development, enhancements, and support activities.
What You Bring To This Role
- 5+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS
- Deep understanding of analytics, BI, and data visualization tools/platforms (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Solid understanding of databases, data structures, and data modeling
- Experience with Customer Experience, Voice of the Customer, or Market Research strongly preferred
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI-powered analytics capabilities
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize a product backlog, balancing business priorities, new development, bug fixes, and technical debt
- Experience partnering closely with engineering on technical trade-offs, work estimation, and release/sprint planning
- Proven experience building data-driven products that deliver measurable business value
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical, and internal and external, stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree a plus
- Passion for turning data into actionable insight and for empowering teams to succeed
Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary of $138,000-$148,000 with eligibility to participate in our Employee Participation Unit program.
