About the Role 

We’re seeking a sharp, trusted, and highly autonomous Solutions Engineer to help drive NinjaOne’s expansion into the Japan market. 

 

This is a builder role; an opportunity to shape how we engage customers, scale technical wins, and define what great looks like in pre-sales across Japan. You will own the full technical sales cycle—from discovery and solution design through proof-of-concept and implementation while partnering closely with Account Executives and Partner Managers to influence deal strategy and deliver real-world impact. 

 

This role combines strong pre-sales ownership with post-sales collaboration, ensuring customers are not only won effectively, but set up for long-term success. You will also play a key role in building repeatable processes, technical assets, and feedback loops that help scale NinjaOne’s presence in the region. 

 

Location – Hybrid/ Remote in Tokyo, Japan 

 

What You’ll be Doing 

  • Own the full pre-sales technical experience for enterprise and mid-market accounts in Japan—from discovery through demo, architecture design, and proof-of-concept 
  • Partner closely with Account Executives and Partner Managers to align technical solutions with customer business goals 
  • Deliver high-impact product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to a range of stakeholders (IT admins through to executives) 
  • Guide customers through evaluation, implementation planning, and best practices to accelerate time-to-value 
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and onboarding teams to ensure successful adoption and long-term outcomes 
  • Support technical validation for RFPs/RFIs and contribute to proposal content where needed 
  • Act as a strategic bridge between Sales, Product, and Engineering—surfacing customer feedback, identifying gaps, and influencing future development 
  • Build and maintain scalable technical assets such as demo environments, playbooks, and reusable content 
  • Represent NinjaOne at customer events, partner engagements, and industry forums in Japan 
  • Contribute to defining processes, playbooks, and best practices as part of a growing regional team 

Technical Requirements 

  • Strong proficiency in Windows environments (registry, services, performance troubleshooting) 
  • Working knowledge of Linux and/or macOS systems 
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, endpoint security) 
  • Experience with endpoint management, RMM tools, or ITSM platforms 
  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is preferred 
  • Comfortable working within complex IT environments and integrating with existing infrastructure 
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Jira, or similar platforms is beneficial  

About You 

  • 5+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical consulting role 
  • Strong technical foundation with practical experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or support environments 
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior decision-makers 
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of ownership 
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently 
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across global teams 
  • Native Japanese speaker with business-level English proficiency (written and spoken) 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required 

Compensation This role is eligible for an annual compensation package consisting of a base salary and variable incentive compensation. The expected annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position range from JPY 16,000,0000 – JPY 20,000,000 depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. The specific mix of base salary and variable incentive compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
