Full description

The AGI organization is building the most advanced AI capabilities in the world. We’re looking for a Principal PMT-ES to own the strategy and delivery of externally-launched AI services that bring state-of-the-art models and capabilities directly to AWS customers.

You’ll define what these services look like, how customers adopt them, and how they scale. This is a high-ambiguity, high-ownership role — you’ll work across science, engineering, and GTM to turn research into production AWS services with public availability, pricing, and customer growth.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own product strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes for customer-facing AI service(s) within the AGI organization
  • Work backwards from customer needs to define how SOTA AI capabilities become generally-available AWS services
  • Drive the full product lifecycle from concept through public launch through growth — including pricing, packaging, and adoption strategy
  • Partner with science and engineering teams to make the right capability and timeline tradeoffs
  • Engage directly with customers and field teams to shape the roadmap and validate product-market fit
  • Own the P&L, business metrics, and operational health of your service(s)
  • Represent the product to AWS leadership with crisp written narratives (PRFAQs, pricing docs, strategy docs, business reviews)

About the team AGI AI Services takes models built within Amazon’s AGI organization and turns them into production AWS services that customers rely on every day. We own the full stack from service definition to GA launch through long-term growth — pricing, availability, operational excellence, and customer adoption. Our portfolio spans speech, language, information, vision, and multimodal AI capabilities serving hundreds of thousands of AWS customers. This is a team where product managers work shoulder-to-shoulder with scientists and engineers. You’ll be close to the research — understanding what’s newly possible — and close to customers — understanding what actually matters. The pace is high, the ambiguity is real, and the opportunity to shape how the world uses AI is immediate.

Basic Qualifications: - 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience - 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience - Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale - Experience with training and deploying machine learning systems to solve large-scale optimizations, or experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure - Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form - Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals - Track record of launching and scaling 0-to-1 products in ambiguous, fast-moving domains - Experience working directly with applied science and research teams — translating customer requirements into model capabilities and translating model advances into product features
