Job Description:

L3Harris Broadband Communication Sector is currently seeking a Product Manager to support RF Communications products in our portfolio. The successful candidate will develop a product strategy across the organization while working closely with program management, engineering, operations and finance. The candidate will also identify and align markets that complement our business. The candidate will be responsible for identifying the product positioning, setting pricing, fulfilling forecasts and executing product promotion. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is able to identify and reconcile needs in products, processes and systems. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

· The Product Manager is chiefly responsible for all aspects for their assigned products, to include: product lifecycle management, sales, strategy, development, production, and financial performance. Specific functions to be performed under limited supervision include:

· Leads and directs work of cross-functional teams comprised of skilled professionals in production, finance, engineering and administrative disciplines

· Interface with customers to understand Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Use Cases, overall customer requirements, and market demands to influence product(s) roadmaps

· Provide leadership of the core product team to establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, validation, manufacturing, integration and test activities

· Partner with the Internal Research And Development (IRAD) team to develop new features and products (new product introduction and launch)

· Represent the voice of the customer within the plant

· Create roadmaps, market landscapes, and competitive landscape analysis

· Determine value-based product pricing based on market and competitive environment

· Promote products through creation of marketing material, launch plans, and various other sales tools to support internal and external customers

· Resolve internal performance issues arising from engineering design or operations production

· 4+ years of Product Management experience

· 2 years’ experience creating and delivering professional presentations for Executive Level Teams, Engineering Teams, Business Development Teams, and Vendor Teams – Both internal and external

· Strong technical aptitude

· Manage budgets for product improvements and defect resolutions

· Mentor junior team members

· Ability to travel up to 10%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Active US Secret Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Prior Product Management experience either in a hardware deliverable or a stand-alone software deliverable
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering
  • Experience with strategy development
  • Experience in DoD industry; familiarity with Military User community is a plus
