You Are A skilled Network Engineer III who enjoys building, maintaining, and improving complex networks. You have a strong foundation in LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies, and you’re comfortable troubleshooting, optimizing performance, and keeping systems secure and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and sustain new or existing information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks.
  • Administers day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security, and availability of the network.
  • Perform daily performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintain security posture of the network.
  • Assist architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations and testing of network hardware and software products.
  • Coordinate changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades, or version increments to existing networks.
  • Creates standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Performs network infrastructure maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture is maintained.
  • Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
  • Respond to network issues and complete assigned trouble tickets at all network data closets.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Six (6) or more years of experience as a Network Engineer.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • US citizenship required 
  • Active secret security clearance required.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken.
  • Must be available for after-hours on-call and downtime support on rotational basis.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able install network equipment and lift up to 40 pounds.

Bonus Points If

  • You have prior experience supporting a DoD environment.
  • Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred.

Salary Dependent on Experience (DOE). Compensation will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.
