Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst - IT BusinessJob DescriptionAs a Sr. Financial Analyst in the IT Business sector, you will lead and maintain IT portfolio management processes, governance frameworks, and project prioritization. You will oversee project portfolios, including schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and benefits realization. Your role will support annual planning, strategic road mapping, and project intake processes while developing and promoting project management methodologies across traditional, Agile, and hybrid environments.Responsibilities
- Coach project managers, Scrum Masters, and IT leaders on project execution and governance best practices.
- Manage IT financial planning, including OPEX, CAPEX, forecasting, chargebacks, and annual budgeting.
- Monitor budget performance and ensure compliance with financial policies and procurement practices.
- Conduct financial analysis, ROI evaluations, cost-benefit assessments, and forecasting.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, vendor rationalization, and improved IT investment value.
- Partner with leadership, finance, procurement, and vendors to ensure accurate budgeting, billing, and financial reporting.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contract management, sourcing strategies, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with procurement to evaluate contracts, negotiate improvements, and ensure financial accountability.
- Drive vendor optimization initiatives while supporting strategic partnership management.
- Partner with business and IT leaders to understand priorities, operational challenges, and technology opportunities.
- Support digital transformation initiatives and align IT investments with business objectives.
- Prepare executive-level dashboards, reports, presentations, and portfolio updates.
- Facilitate communication and decision-making among stakeholders across the organization.
- Lead and develop a team while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage departmental KPIs, OKRs, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Build strong relationships across global and cross-functional teams.
- Promote innovation, process improvements, and operational efficiencies within the IT Project Office.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience in PMO management.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, procurement, or IT financial management.
- 2-3+ years of project or portfolio management experience in a PMO model.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of IT budgeting, cost accounting, vendor management, and financial forecasting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- People management experience is preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis position requires on-site work with core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM. Employees can choose any 8-hour period within this timeframe. One remote workday is allowed per week, with the exception of Mondays (4 days on-site, 1 day WFH).
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
