Lead meaningful bridge infrastructure projects that connect communities as a Bridge Design Project Manager with our team at Burgess & Niple. In this role, you'll guide project teams through complex bridge design and rehabilitation work for state DOTs and local public agencies while mentoring the next generation of engineers. You'll balance technical leadership with client relationship development, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, all while building lasting partnerships that strengthen our presence in the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead project teams in engineering calculations and plan preparation for new bridge construction and rehabilitation projects
  • Ensure quality control of all deliverables while managing project risk and successfully completing work on time and within budget
  • Mentor less experienced engineers, supporting their development into confident, independent professionals
  • Monitor project performance indicators, budgets, and schedules while proactively managing risk
  • Collaborate with B&N bridge staff to develop new client relationships and strengthen existing partnerships
  • Lead pursuit efforts for bridge design projects, including client meetings and proposal preparation
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think creatively, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate effectively to solve complex problems

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment, or eligibility for reciprocal licensure
  • 8+ years of bridge design experience with demonstrated project and staff management capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of MicroStation, OpenRoads software, Bentley Open Bridge Designer, MDX, AASHTOWare BrR and Microsoft Office
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Servant leader committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence while developing others
