POSITION OVERVIEW
Senior Business Analyst - Finance is key finance partner to senior leadership across Sales, Licensing, Merchandising, Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and M&A.
This role will play a critical role in driving profitable growth, commercial analysis, margin expansion initiatives, and investment and acquisition diligence, translating financial insight into practical decisions that improve growth, profitability, and enterprise value.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business in annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning in partnership
- Own commercial finance analysis across revenue, gross margin, operating margin, working capital, and profitability drivers.
- Identify, quantify, and track margin expansion opportunities across pricing, customer mix, product mix, royalties, sourcing, freight, and operating expenses.
- Develop financial models, business cases, ROI analyses, and scenario plans for strategic initiatives, growth investments, and commercial decisions.
- Support investment and acquisition opportunities, including market and target assessment, financial diligence, valuation support, synergy analysis, integration planning, and post-close performance tracking.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear recommendations for the CFO, executive team, and cross-functional leaders.
- Partner with Sales, Licensing, Merchandising, Sourcing, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve forecast accuracy, decision quality, and profitability outcomes.
- Build and maintain executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and performance reviews that highlight risks, opportunities, and required actions.
- Drive process improvements in planning, reporting, automation, and analytics to strengthen Finance's decision-support capabilities.
- Maintain data integrity, governance, and consistency across planning models, financial reports, and management reporting processes.
- Support change management and adoption for planning, reporting, system, and organizational transformation initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, Transaction Advisory, or a similar finance leadership role.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and business partnering experience.
- Exposure to M&A, financial due diligence, valuation, integration planning, or strategic investment analysis strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, profitability, working capital, and cash-flow drivers.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP, BI, planning, and visualization tools such as Power BI preferred.
- Experience building financial models, business cases, scenario analyses, ROI models, and executive-level investment recommendations.
- Experience within retail, consumer products, apparel, licensing, wholesale distribution, or e-commerce environments preferred.
- Comfort using AI-powered tools and automation technologies to improve planning, reporting, analytics, and productivity.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior leadership.
- Commercially minded with the ability to challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and turn analysis into action.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related commercial discipline required; MBA, CFA, or relevant advanced finance credential preferred.
BUSINESS HOURS
- Four (4) days in office and One (1) day remote. Occasional extended work hours depending on volume and collaboration with India office.
