Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Network Engineer provides technical leadership in the design, engineering, security, and sustainment of enterprise network environments supporting classified and mission-critical operations. The individual architects resilient network solutions, leads routing and switching design, and oversees firewall configuration, capacity planning, and performance optimization. The role drives complex troubleshooting, technology refresh initiatives, cybersecurity compliance, and technical documentation while ensuring network solutions meet operational, security, and performance requirements across defense environments.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of network engineering experience.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, routing, switching, WAN/LAN, and secure network environments.
  • Ability to support classified systems and provide technical leadership.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

What will help you on the job:

  • Experience with cloud networking, Zero Trust architecture, Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), and Air Force enterprise networking environments.
  • Professional certifications including Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise, Security+ Continuing Education (CE), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, and Cisco Certified DevNet Professional are preferred.
