ABOUT AARKE

Aarke is a Swedish design company redefining everyday kitchen appliances through premium materials, engineering, and timeless design. Founded in 2013, we are on a mission to re(de)fine the home appliances industry — combining Scandinavian design, exceptional quality, and top-tier materials in a category often overlooked by the design community.

Our flagship product, the Aarke Carbonator, has earned a devoted global following with customers in more than 30 countries. As we continue to scale internationally and expand into new product categories, we are looking for sharp, hands-on people to grow with us.

THE POSITION

The Product Manager is responsible for driving the performance and development of Aarke's product category across its full life cycle. The role combines market and consumer insights, business requirements and design direction to define category strategies, frame development projects and secure that products remain competitive and aligned with Aarke's brand.

This includes building and maintaining the category roadmap, supporting concept and portfolio decisions, and ensuring that products are launched, maintained and updated to meet market, compliance and user expectations over time. The role reports to the Chief Product Development Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the category roadmap with the CPDO and leadership team through business cases, unique selling points and market validations
  • Lead product development projects based on the product roadmap, following Aarke’s development process with regards to design, functionality and feasibility.
  • Steer projects with regard to market requirements and launch process, align with Commercial and Brand on positioning and messaging, and drive market rollout
  • Monitor product success and challenges across markets, oversee the lifecycle of existing products through claims and quality data, product updates, variations and editions – using set processes for change management and compliance, as well as setting up new processes when needed.
  • Map category products and product opportunities using quantitative and qualitative consumer analyses, market intelligence, distributor and D2C stakeholder input, and competitor benchmarking
  • Act as a cross-functional bridge between R&D, Commercial, Industrial Design and Brand — ensuring requirements, decisions and trade-offs are clearly communicated
  • Present strategic plans and complex decision points to management and lead teams across disciplines, cultures and distances

The role includes occasional international travel, primarily to manufacturing partners and suppliers.

WHO ARE YOU?

You are a curious, analytical and communicative person with a genuine interest in products and customers. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, working across cultures and disciplines, and can adapt your communication to different audiences. You bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to everything you do — and you thrive in an environment where you can shape something from idea to market.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or product-related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project management and product management, preferably within new product development of consumer appliances
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on product and category decisions
  • Broad general product development understanding, enabling effective collaboration with R&D and design teams
  • Strong understanding of how to build and manage market requirement specifications
  • Proven ability to work in cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and drive work from idea to implementation
  • Good technical understanding within general mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Good knowledge of at least one CAD system is considered an advantage
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

WHY AARKE
