Job Duties and Responsibilities

Managing and standardizing enterprise Windows endpoints requires driving operational efficiency and maintaining peak ecosystem security. The position focuses on executing OS patching, software distribution, and Group Policy administration while resolving top-tier desktop escalations. High-level PowerShell scripting and automated workflows streamline routine maintenance to eliminate hardware reliability bottlenecks across the fleet.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Own the end-to-end testing and execution of monthly Microsoft OS patching to maximize enterprise system readiness and security
  • Drive fleet-wide automation using advanced PowerShell scripting in conjunction with MECM to optimize software deployment and routine maintenance
  • Resolve top-tier escalation issues beyond frontline support capabilities; document technical solutions to ensure knowledge transfer across IT support teams
  • Leverage AI Application tools to analyze system logs, automate repetitive troubleshooting workflows, and predict hardware reliability issues across endpoints
  • Lead cross-departmental coordination through CAB meetings and mentor support staff on Windows desktop best practices

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring):

  • Expert-level scripting capabilities in PowerShell alongside MECM management to drive system automation
  • Critical Experience leading desktop endpoint administration, OS upgrades, and monthly patch management across a large enterprise fleet
  • AI Literacy and application skills to enhance operational reporting, technical documentation, and proactive system monitoring
  • Dynamic presentation, training, and communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting abilities to address multi-departmental IT challenges
  • Professional vendor management and collaboration capabilities to evaluate third-party service delivery and defend technical architecture decisions

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud and co-management solutions including Microsoft Azure, AWS WorkSpaces, and MECM with Microsoft Intune

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: BS/BA degree — or equivalent, relevant experience
  • Minimum Experience: 4+ years of experience as a system administrator in a fast-paced enterprise environment
  • Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 4 years of experience with:
  • Windows desktop operating systems supporting an enterprise-level environment
  • Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM)
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation and system management

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year Benefits

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
