As a Senior Data Engineer in our Managed Services team, you’ll play a key role in supporting and enhancing modern data platforms for our clients. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, solve complex problems, and continuously improve the solutions we manage. You’ll also have the opportunity to grow your skills through structured learning and Microsoft certifications.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor and manage production Data & Analytics solutions to ensure performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and technical issues across Azure-based data platforms
- Contribute to a 24x7 support model through scheduled shift rotations, weekend support, and on-call coverage as part of a team-based approach.
- Develop and deploy enhancements and optimizations to existing solutions
- Build and configure automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
- Work directly with end-users and customers, providing expert support and guidance
We'll invest heavily in your ongoing development through access to formal training, in-house development sessions, mentoring, and external gatherings. We cover the cost of study for Microsoft certification exams to make sure you reach your full potential, and you will have personal development time allocated to ensure you have time to learn.
Required Experience:
- A minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Experience working in a Managed Services team, supporting Azure-based production Data & Analytics ETL/integration solutions (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Fabric, Function Apps, Power BI) in line with SLAs
- Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL
- Proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience with ticket management and communicating directly with customers/end-users via phone, tickets, and email
Advantageous Experience:
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks
- Experience enhancing data pipelines, notebooks, and Power BI reports/models
- Knowledge of PySpark, Scala Spark SQL, .NET (C#), SSAS, and SSIS
- Exposure to Azure infrastructure (e.g., VMs, VNETs, security configurations)
- Microsoft certifications such as DP-203 or DP-600
