We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager - Electric to lead complex construction and capital project initiatives from planning through closeout in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, stakeholder coordination, design management, procurement, and construction execution while ensuring exceptional client service and project delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, strategic problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of project delivery, including planning, design, procurement, construction, fit-out, and closeout.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk while ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Drive value engineering initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead project teams, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop project management plans, budgets, fee proposals, and cost projections.
  • Oversee permitting, entitlement, zoning, and regulatory approval processes.
  • Conduct constructability reviews and provide strategic recommendations throughout project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, evaluate scope changes, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead contract administration, negotiations, and claims resolution.
  • Mentor and provide leadership to project management team members while effectively delegating responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of project management experience within construction, engineering, or capital project environments.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, cost management, scheduling, and value engineering.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, PE, AIA, or LEED are preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $133,100.00-$186,366.69 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
