Position Overview

The Project Manager will provide direction to all project team members and be responsible for the overall project performance including safety, quality and financial profitability.

Essential Functions

  • In addition to quality, continually ensuring all employees follow health and safety regulations while monitoring operations to promote the wellbeing of the whole team.
  • Lead and enforce adherence to the contract, work plans, project safety plan, project quality plan and company initiatives.
  • Lead the project team in the establishment and achievement of goals to meet and/or exceed all estimates, company goals and initiatives.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all assigned project estimates, schedules, constructability reviews, value engineering, procurement, oversight and execution are completed with safety and quality as priorities.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with project management team, owners, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and the local community.
  • Liaise with authorities and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversight of all construction work plans that meets and/or exceeds the requirements of the contract documents for all assigned projects.
  • Accountable for the project schedule including procurement lead times, resources, costs, short interval schedules, schedule impact analysis and schedule improvement techniques.
  • Review and implement project recovery plans as needed.
  • Prepare and negotiate change orders including processing and assessing cost and schedule impacts, and preparation of claims.
  • Oversee weekly labor reports and monthly progress/performance reports for owners/clients.
  • Review and compile pay applications and cost to complete forecasts
  • Oversight of daily time cards for all project team members.
  • Execute subcontracts and major purchase orders.
  • Oversee and enforce all processes and procedures that support the project close-out phase.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor project management team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management with involvement in project pursuit to project close-out, overseeing large and complex construction projects.
  • One year of experience on renewable energy projects preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Outlook, and related software programs. Knowledge of Procore and Auto CAD desired.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of BUILD Renewables’ personnel, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Working Conditions

  • 100% travel required. Projects are nationally based.
  • Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.
  • Office Environment – extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to all forms of weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry, humid, windy) for the entire workday.

Location: Various U.S. Project Sites (Travel Required)

Full Time - Exempt Position

Position requires working hours in excess of 40 hours per week based on operational needs. A rotation schedule is implemented to help offset additional hours.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $165,000 - DOE
