Full description
Hi there!
We're Sweed, a product-driven startup building an all-in-one cannabis retail platform. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us strengthen our team.
About Us
At Sweed, we’re reimagining how cannabis retailers operate. Our enterprise-grade platform combines POS, eCommerce, Marketing, Analytics and Inventory Management into a single, seamless solution—eliminating the need for multiple third-party tools.
We believe in simplicity, efficiency, and innovation. That’s why we build for scalability and performance, making life easier for cannabis retailers while driving real business growth.
Why We’re Doing This
At Sweed, we believe in the medicinal potential of cannabis. It has been shown to help with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and many other conditions. Despite the lingering stigma, we see cannabis as a powerful tool for improving lives.
The industry is evolving rapidly, and we’re here to drive that transformation—making cannabis retail more efficient, accessible, and customer-friendly.
Where We Are Now
We’ve been on the market for 7 years, continuously growing and refining our product.
Our focus is on earning customer trust, which means constantly improving our delivery processes and rolling out new features. At the same time, we navigate the complex legal landscape of the cannabis industry, ensuring our platform remains compliant and future-proof.
Team Structure
Our total team size is over 200 people:
The development team is distributed globally and organized into cross-functional product teams. These teams typically consist of 8–12 members, including front-end and back-end developers, QA specialists, and analysts. Each team is led by a Team Lead and a Product Owner, ensuring effective collaboration and clear direction. Meanwhile, our CEO, account managers, and customer success team are based in the USA, working closely with us to align product development with business and user needs.
Design Team
We’re a distributed design team working across all Sweed products, including Portal, POS, Delivery, Marketing, Reporting tools, and eCommerce. Designers collaborate closely with multiple product teams to ensure a consistent experience across the Sweed ecosystem. The team works from detailed specs for larger tasks and short briefs for smaller ones, running discovery activities when capacity allows. Task sources include product owners, business analysts, account managers with client requests, and internal design initiatives. Our core principle is to understand the current state before changing it. Every improvement starts with analyzing existing flows to avoid disrupting what already works. Design decisions are based on user surveys, PostHog data, and insights from the Data team to understand user behavior and validate hypotheses.
What You'll Be Working On
- Design and improve interfaces for eComm Web, App and Standalone devices — self-order kiosks, the customer-facing second screen at the register with its own functionality, and in-store screens showing products, ads and promos — considering complex user scenarios and workflows.
- Develop clear user flows and information structures to ensure usability and efficiency in daily operations.
- Balance priorities by improving legacy experiences while designing and delivering new quarterly features.
- Prototype and test ideas to validate concepts and communicate design decisions with cross-functional teams.
- Vibe-code: build solutions directly in the product codebase, as well as separate products — either modules that extend the core products or fully standalone ones.
- Work with data by analyzing PostHog metrics and survey results to identify insights and measure design impact.
- Maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
- Provide clear handoffs for developers and POs, run demos, and support implementation reviews.
- Collaborate closely with POs, BAs, AM/Support and developers, maintaining open and proactive communication.
- Rarely, create presentations, visuals or website materials to support internal and marketing needs.
What We're Looking For
- Strong portfolio showing experience with complex eCom products.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, delivering end-to-end solutions for web or native platforms.
- Deep UX and IA expertise; ability to design data-informed, operations-friendly experiences.
- Hands-on experience with interviews and surveys (clients and end users).
- Experience designing for eComm, Fintech, and other customer-facing products.
- Proficiency in Figma, responsive design, and component-based systems.
- AI-fluent in the design process: from research and copy to vibe-coding — clickable prototypes instead of static specs, and working products, not just mockups.
- Basic HTML/CSS — to collaborate effectively with front-end teams and to vibe-code.
- Strong collaboration & communication, English Upper-Intermediate+.
- Self-driven and able to manage ambiguity while moving projects forward.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as PostHog or Amplitude and event-based metrics.
- Interest in improving internal design processes through automation, AI and documentation.
- Awareness of and interest in AI transformation: an understanding of how AI changes products and processes. Pet projects you've built yourself are a big plus.

- 100% remote – We’re a remote-first company, no offices needed!
- Flexible working hours – Core team time: 10:00-16:00 CET (flexible per team)
- 20 paid vacation days per year
- 12 holidays per year
- 3 sick leave days
- Medical insurance after probation
- Equipment reimbursement (laptops, monitors, etc.)
