Paladin is revolutionizing public safety with autonomous drone technology. Our mission? To be on the frontline of emergencies within 90 seconds. Role Summary
We’re looking for a Mid-Level QA Engineer to elevate quality standards across our drone hardware and software systems. You will own critical QA areas from writing detailed test cases and regression suites to expanding automated test coverage helping ensure our products deliver reliable, life-saving performance.
What You’ll Do
- Design, write, and maintain detailed test cases for our software and hardware stack
- Lead testing efforts for releases involving flight control logic, video latency, or UI changes
- Write and execute automated tests using Postman or browser-based tools (e.g., Playwright)
- Help maintain a growing library of regression tests covering hardware and backend APIs
- Investigate and document complex bugs with logs, reproduction steps, and root cause analysis
- Coordinate closely with engineering and FlightOps teams for hardware-software integration testing
- Proactively discover new edge cases to strengthen and solidify our platform
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in software QA or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including test design, defect tracking, and regression testing
- Hands-on experience with Postman, browser DevTools, and basic scripting or automation frameworks
- Excellent communication skills and a strong advocate for product quality
- Familiarity with drones, live video streaming, or hardware/software integration is a plus
- Bonus: Experience writing automated tests in Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks
