We believe that the best ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time, and that curiosity is the key to anticipating our clients’ needs and exceeding their expectations.

About the Team:

You'll be joining a growing, distributed team within FactSet's Developer Enablement & Automation organization. The team focuses on the workflows, tooling, and shared infrastructure that power FactSet's engineering communities — helping engineers ship software with confidence.

Job Description:

FactSet's ecosystem spans a wide range of teams and technologies. This role focuses on integrating and supporting a centralized CI/CD pipeline platform that brings consistency and governance to how software is built, tested, and deployed — without slowing teams down.

The work is less about building from scratch and more about making the right pieces fit together on a scale. Good engineering judgment is as important as technical skill: the platform needs to be consistent where it matters and flexible enough to support the teams that rely on it.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a centralized CI/CD platform to support a diverse portfolio of applications with varying build tools, test frameworks, and deployment targets
  • Identify and implement extension points that accommodate existing build requirements
  • Define and enforce standardized quality gates (linting, testing, security checks) while preserving team flexibility
  • Collaborate directly with application teams to surface requirements and ensure the pipeline fits their needs
  • Support deployments across an internal PaaS platform, Kubernetes/ArgoCD, and AWS
  • Help shape the long-term vision of the platform and what good engineering workflows look like at FactSet

What We're Looking For:

  • Must be fluent in English
  • 5+ years with solid experience as a software engineer with a strong focus on CI/CD, developer tooling, or platform engineering at a comparable seniority level
  • Experience working with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Travis CI and an understanding of how to design pipelines that scale across many teams and applications
  • Deep familiarity with the software packaging lifecycle ecosystem — you understand how these applications are built, tested, and what good looks like across different build toolchains
  • Familiarity with containerized deployments and cloud environments (Kubernetes, AWS, or similar)
  • An instinct for where standardization helps and where it hurts - you know the difference between a guardrail and a roadblock
  • Familiarity with Linux — you should be able to navigate the Linux file system via a CLI and understand Linux operating system concepts like package managers.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or relevant degree

Additional/Desired Skill:

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach - you'll need to engage with application teams, understand their constraints, and build solutions that earn adoption rather than demanding it
  • A genuine passion for developer experience and enabling engineering teams to move faster with more confidence
  • Experience with modern CI/CD vendors and pipeline-as-code approaches
  • Familiarity with internal developer platforms or PaaS-style deployment environments
  • Experience driving tooling adoption across a large engineering organization
  • Broader experience with developer enablement concerns such as shared libraries, scaffolding, or local development environment standardization
  • Familiarity with Python, Bash and Typescript
  • Familiarity with the Harness Developer Platform
