JOB SUMMARY
The FP&A Financial Analyst is a key player in creating and providing valuable information to healthcare administrators and external stakeholders across the US. This position focuses heavily on forecasting and analyzing inputs from others to forecast individual unit and consolidated operating results on a monthly and quarterly basis. The ideal candidate will be able to:
Reporting
- Prepare regular finance packages for Vice Presidents
- Develop our reporting capabilities inside of our PowerBI, Workday and Planning systems
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts
- Assist healthcare administrators in their forecasting efforts, including training administrators on forecasting tools and industry-specific forecasting practices
- Learn industry-specific information to assist with healthcare administrator forecasts
- Support the financial close process related to accruals and budget vs. actual variance analysis
Technical & Data Management
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Loading and pulling data from SQL databases
- Manage and run legacy Python code
- Create and understand complex Excel formulas
Compliance & Quality
- Create and maintain process documentation to ensure repeatable results
- Perform QA testing to ensure data accuracy and quality
Teamwork & Communication
- Work well in a collaborative environment to kickstart projects
- Demonstrate a high aptitude for learning
- Communicate professionally and timely with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with other finance department tasks and projects
Industry & Operations Support
- Support healthcare administrators by applying industry knowledge and serving as a financial partner in forecast development
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Information Systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Understanding of financial statements/GL systems
- Intermediate skills in SQL, Python and DAX
- Experience in a finance role preferred
Requirements:
- 2-4 years experience as a financial analyst or related role
