Your tasks

  • Lead automotive programs from RFQ through SOP (Start of Production) and production ramp-up. Own program timing, cost, quality, resources, and customer deliverables. Develop and maintain integrated program plans and milestone tracking. Drive execution of product development, validation, industrialization, and launch activities. Manage engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for OEM customers. Lead customer reviews, gate reviews, launch reviews, and executive status meetings. Manage customer expectations and negotiate resolution of commercial and technical issues. Build long-term relationships with OEM engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, and program teams. Support acquisition of future business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate cross-functional team leadership by leading global and regional teams across various functions.
  • Is experienced with mechatronic systems knowledge; able to understand interaction between mechanical systems, electronics, embedded software, sensors and actuators and can guide the cross-functional team towards effective implementation of systems integration.
  • Coordinate product development activities through design maturity. Lead technical issue resolution. Monitor engineering deliverables, validation status, and design releases. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and automotive standards. Lead and support systems integration and vehicle-level readiness.
  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). Ensure successful completion of PPAP submissions. Manage DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams and other deliverables. Drive manufacturing readiness and Run-at-Rate activities. Lead launch management through customer approval and SOP stabilization
  • Develop and manage program budgets. Track tooling, engineering, prototype, and launch expenditures. Manage investment approvals and capital expenses. Monitor program profitability and contribution margin. Drive cost reduction initiatives and commercial recovery activities
  • Identify and manage technical, commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, and launch risks. Maintain open issue lists and escalation logs. Lead corrective action teams. Develop mitigation and recovery plans. Escalate critical issues to executive leadership when required
  • Leads quotations and manages profitability according to required KPI's. Identify opportunities in advance of RFQ, to provide competitive advantage.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor in Systems/Mechatronics Engineering Degree from four-year college or university.
  • 10+ years of Automotive experience within the US automotive industry preference. 5+ years Program Management experience. Experience with OEM customer relationships and launching automotive products globally.
