Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support network operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to resolve network challenges efficiently while staying current with emerging technologies.
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure using industry-standard networking equipment and technologies
- Configure and manage routing and switching protocols to ensure seamless network connectivity, performance, and reliability
- Perform comprehensive network troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve connectivity issues promptly and systematically
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and optimize network efficiency for capacity planning and resource allocation
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, access control lists, VPN configurations, and security policies
- Document network configurations, changes, procedures, and technical solutions in a clear and organized manner for future reference and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to support network upgrades, migrations, infrastructure improvements, and technology initiatives
- Conduct regular network assessments and provide data-driven recommendations for system enhancements and optimization
- Respond to network incidents and provide technical support to resolve issues within established timeframes and service level agreements
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging networking technologies, and vendor updates to drive innovation and continuous improvement
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in network engineering, network administration, or related IT infrastructure roles
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network architecture, and networking fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching equipment from major vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN configuration, management, and optimization
- Solid understanding of network security fundamentals, best practices, and security protocols
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot network issues systematically and resolve problems efficiently
- Strong organizational, documentation, and technical writing skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Experience with incident response and change management processes
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent industry-recognized certification
- Experience with cloud networking platforms and hybrid network environments
- Proficiency with network monitoring, management, and diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices
- Experience with network automation, scripting (Python, Bash), and infrastructure-as-code concepts
- Familiarity with network design tools and software
- Project management experience or exposure to network infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization
- Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
