Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the marketing of ABB’s offerings to targeted market segments and manage the offerings throughout their lifecycle, in line with market needs and division/product group/business line strategy and targets. Each day, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of an offer. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting business results by overseeing each step involved in the offer lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Traction business in China.
You will be mainly accountable for:• Leading the market intelligence analysis and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunities.
- Owning technical and market specification for the offer and determining an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth while leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following-up on portfolio performance.
- Leading the offer lifecycle management process, analyzing current offers, defining, and tracking performance metrics, and making decisions on offer obsolescence and end-of life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met to maximize their profitability.
- Setting targets, monitoring offering costs and giving inputs to operations functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
Qualifications for the role • You are immersed in motors and drives technology and the railway and Mobile e-Power market
- You have 8+ years of experience in Product Management, R&D, Engineering, or Operations
- You are qualified in motors or drives platform
- You are passionate about communication in international environment and new motors and/or drives technology
- Proven experience of new product development, product management in motors or drives industry
- You are at ease communicating in English and Chinese
