Position:

QA Tech Lead

Job Description:

Responsibilities of the EVT Lead – 10 to 11 years of EVT experience – Offshore

Strong hands-on experience in Python, Robot Framework, Karate Framework, PyTest, Selenium, Playwright and/or Appium.

Test Planning and Strategy

  • Write/Create test plans: Build comprehensive documentation outlining scope, resources, timelines, and methodologies.
  • Define test strategy: Choose between manual and automated testing approaches to maximize coverage.
  • Manage environment: Ensure necessary testing tools, data, and hardware or software environments are ready and available to the team.

Team Leadership and Coordination

  • Assign tasks: Distribute work based on individual tester skills and project needs.
  • Mentor team: Guide, train, and support engineers to improve overall team performance.
  • Monitor progress: Oversee daily testing activities to ensure alignment with delivery milestones and goals.

Execution and Defect Management

  • Review artifacts: Validate the quality of written test cases, scripts, and test data.
  • Track bugs: Monitor defect tracking systems and prioritize issues and ensure proper defect review is scheduled.
  • Collaborate closely: Work with software developers to expedite bug fixes and resolutions.

Communication and Process Improvement

  • Report status: Provide clear quality metrics, risk analyses, and progress reports to project managers.
  • Drive optimization: Continuously evaluate testing bottlenecks and adopt better practices.
