The Technical Project Manager is responsible for combining strong technical understanding with exceptional delivery excellence for SIP-based customized software projects. This role ensures all project activities and live network interventions are executed safely, on time, and without customer impact. Key responsibilities include end-to-end delivery ownership, technical leadership, and close alignment with customer project teams. The manager also focuses on team leadership, fostering a high-performance environment, and maintaining operational excellence and quality of deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the complete execution of assigned work packages, ensuring safe, on-time delivery with zero customer impact and proactive risk management.
- Strategically assign work packages to engineers based on competency, monitor progress, and remove execution blockers to maintain delivery governance.
- Collaborate closely with customer project managers and technical leads to ensure Live Network Intervention (LNI) execution aligns with project timelines and builds customer confidence.
- Provide expert technical guidance for planning, execution, rollback, and issue resolution, coaching engineers and leading critical technical discussions.
- Build a culture of ownership and collaboration, conducting regular 1:1s, managing shift planning, and supporting team development.
- Foster a high-performance environment by recognizing achievements, encouraging continuous learning, and creating development plans for engineers.
- Ensure all deliverables meet customer quality expectations, driving first-time-right execution, performing quality reviews, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistent adherence to LNI operational standards, including competency validation, readiness verification, MoP validation, and information security compliance.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- A Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with 8-15 years of experience in Telecom Delivery, Network Operations, Managed Services, or Deployment, with a strong understanding of network operations (Core/IP/Cloud preferred).
- 3+ years leading technical delivery or project teams, demonstrating strong Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management abilities.
- Expertise in Live Network Intervention (LNI) planning and execution, ensuring zero customer impact, coupled with Change Management and Risk Assessment.
- Good knowledge of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to manage technical projects for the FEE portfolio.
- Experience with Incident and Problem Management, including Root Cause Analysis.
Good-to-Have
- Proficiency in IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) domain project management.
- Demonstrated ability in Customer Communication, Conflict Resolution, and Decision Making.
- Background in multi-vendor environments (Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei) and Network Implementation and Integration.
