Position 1: Android Framework SW Integration & AI Agentic Automation Lead

Role Summary

You will lead the technical integration of critical Android security patches (AOSP, Google Security Bulletins, and Chipset Vendor Advisories) across a massive portfolio of devices.

As an AI & Automation Champion, you will own, maintain, and aggressively evolve the team's software integration pipeline by designing and deploying advanced workflow automation, scripting, and AI-driven agentic solutions (AI Agents). This role is crucial for maximizing delivery efficiency, implementing GKI/SELinux/pKVM requirements, and eliminating manual bottlenecks in security update pipelines.

Core Responsibilities

•

AOSP Patch Integration: Lead the ingestion, pre-checking, conflict resolution, and merge-validation of monthly Google Security Bulletins (AOSP) and chipset vendor security advisories.

•

Framework SW Integration: Manage complex branch merges, resolving intricate code conflicts in Android Generic Frameworks and device-specific repositories across multiple Android versions (A11 through A17).

•

AI Agent & Workflow Automation: Architect, build, and maintain automated software delivery pipelines. Leverage Python, web services, and emerging LLM frameworks to automate repetitive integration tasks—such as auto-resolving common git conflict patterns and auto-triaging build failures.

Platform Triage & Analysis: Act as the lead escalation point for platform stability issues. Analyze and debug complex platform crashes, tombstones, ANRs, and kernel-level regressions.

Must-Have Skills & Technical Qualifications

1.

Android Framework Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Android Architecture and core system services; experience working with Android Generic Frameworks.

2.

Advanced Git & Configuration Management: Expert-level mastery of Git/Gerrit, complex branching, cherry-picks, and conflict resolution under tight timelines.

3.

Workflow Automation: Proficient in Python, Bash, and Web Technologies (REST APIs, Databases) to build tools that interact with developer infrastructure (Gerrit, Git, Jira, Jenkins).

4.

AI & Agentic Technologies: Practical experience or strong understanding of implementing AI-driven automation (e.g., using LLMs for automated log parsing, code synthesis, or intelligent triaging)
