About the Opportunity

Ellucian is seeking an experienced Sr Technical Project Manager to join the Malvern, PA team to lead implementations of our integrated administrative solutions for colleges and universities. The Sr Project Manager will drive technical modernization projects, coordinating functional and technical activities to ensure project success. Candidates will have relevant project management experience, and a strong understanding of the areas outlined below.

• Manage through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation/planning through execution, delivery, and project closeout.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with client stakeholders, team members, and peers.
• Apply project management disciplines such as scheduling, risk mitigation, resource coordination, and scope management.
• Clearly communicate project plans, roles, milestones, and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize standard project management practices and tools to monitor and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Identify risks and help mitigate project challenges while tracking dependencies and progress.
• Facilitate regular project status meetings and updates to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client resources to support delivery of integrated solutions.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day project communications.
• Provide regular updates to management on project progress, risks, and issues.
• Support project-related discussions around scope, timing, and cost with appropriate stakeholders.
• Promote positive client relationships and foster a collaborative project environment.
• Escalate and assist in resolving project risks and issues as they arise.
• Offer feedback and support to team members to improve performance and outcomes.
• Contribute to team cohesion by promoting communication and cooperation across the project

What will you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing customer-facing projects. Experience with ERP or SaaS implementations is a plus.
• Working knowledge of project planning, execution, and resource tracking.
• Familiarity with operational elements that influence project performance, such as:
• Maintaining up-to-date project plans
• Supporting customer satisfaction
• Assisting with accurate billing and reporting documentation

• Ability to manage priorities in a matrixed environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with customer-facing teams to support solution development.
• Interest in identifying opportunities for improvement based on knowledge of higher education business processes and technology.
• Ability to work independently while seeking guidance from more senior leaders or mentors when needed.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CSM) and/or cloud-related certifications are a plus.
• Higher education experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with PASSHE is a preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25% is anticipated.
