Role Overview
Support the organization’s security posture by helping strengthen controls across key technology environments, responding to complex issues, and partnering with IT and business teams to turn emerging threats into practical protections.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain security solutions across endpoint, network, application, and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex security issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the team.
- Monitor evolving threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques and translate them into actionable defenses.
- Communicate security risks, controls, and processes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with IT and business teams to ensure security is embedded in everything we do.
What You Bring
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, MIS, IT, or related field preferred, not required.
- Security+, CISSP, GIAC, or advanced SANS certifications preferred, not required.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity engineering experience.
- Strong experience with IT security platforms, automation (scripting/APIs), and configuration management.
- Broad knowledge of IT systems (servers, networks, cloud, applications).
- Experience with authentication, access management, logging, and SIEM/event correlation tools.
- Excellent communication skills — you can explain security concepts to anyone.
- Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- Awareness of the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
