Job Description
Ambarella, the worldwide leader in edge AI and physical AI, is on a mission to bring AI and computer vision to all types of devices, from intelligent camera systems to smart building/infrastructure to robots, drones, and autonomous machines. Our marketing team in Santa Clara is looking for a passionate individual to join our team and help us bring our AI vision to life.
In this position, you will help drive Ambarella’s Product Marketing for Physical AI and industrial edge markets—including robotics, drones / UAVs, machine vision, and industrial automation—while also supporting product marketing, product management, and program management for the Ambarella Developer Zone (DevZone). You will help develop new markets, grow the related partner ecosystem, and sit at the intersection of hardware, embedded software, AI, and an open developer platform.
You will define go-to-market strategy across silicon and software, turn customer and partner needs into roadmap inputs, and enable sales and FAE teams with clear positioning, collateral, and demos. For DevZone, you will lead how partners and developers learn, build, and deploy on Ambarella SoCs and Ambarella’s Cooper development software—including Model Garden, Agentic Blueprints, SW infrastructure and ecosystem developer kits—creating a repeatable path from evaluation to production.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support product marketing for Ambarella in an assigned subset of robotics, drones / UAVs, machine vision, industrial automation, and adjacent Physical AI end markets.
- Develop go-to-market strategy, including product definition (hardware and software), internal engineering deliverables, external branding, demonstrations, tradeshows.
- Establish a worldwide target customer list and work with sales and partnership team to penetrate target accounts as well as maintain relationships at current accounts across OEMs, ODMs, module makers, system integrators, ISVs, and industrial / robotics / drone customers.
- Support and drive program management for key DevZone initiatives and related GTM programs by working cross-functionally with product marketing, channels & partnerships, and engineering teams.
- Be the link between the customer and our internal sales and FAE teams. Manage both the technical and business aspects of customer interactions.
- Gather customers’ requirements and feedback to the engineering team, translating field insights into prioritized product and software requirements.
- Create and maintain sales and partner enablement: positioning, messaging, product/application briefs, competitive materials, demos, case studies, and web content for technical and commercial consumers.
- Work with the engineering teams to define software, chips, and feature roadmaps for robotics, drones, machine vision, and industrial automation use cases.
- Support organization of tradeshows, webinars, customer workshops, and partner events; assist marketing before and during shows with technical and commercial credibility.
- Regional and international travel approximately up to 30%, primarily for customer and partner meetings, events, and workshops.
Requirements:
- BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science, EE, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
- Must have experience in the semiconductor industry (hardware, embedded, and/or SoC + software platforms).
- 5+ years of experience in a similar senior product marketing or product management position.
- Successful track record of developing new markets and/or growing a partner / ISV / developer ecosystem.
- Working knowledge of artificial intelligence, video/imaging, and edge AI; familiarity with robotics, drones, machine vision, industrial automation, or Physical AI is highly preferable.
- Working familiarity with hardware, embedded software, and AI concepts sufficient to engage engineering teams and technical customers on both product definition and go-to-market.
- Experience combining product marketing with product management and/or program management (requirements, roadmap, cross-functional execution, and launch ownership), especially for developer platforms or SDKs, is highly desired.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; able to move between executive narrative and technical depth.
- Strong cross-functional leadership with sales, FAE/apps, engineering, and external partners.
- Availability to travel WW, up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience marketing or managing developer platforms, Model Gardens / model zoos, SDKs, or low-code/no-code AI tooling.
- Experience with industrial cameras, stereovision, SLAM / visual odometry, sensor fusion, aerial drones / UAVs, AMRs/cobots, or factory/warehouse automation applications.
- Prior work with ISVs, ODMs, module vendors, or system integrators in an open-ecosystem GTM model.
- Experience organizing or supporting major industry events (CES, Automate, robotics, drone, and industrial / embedded vision shows) and live technical demonstrations.
