Project Role : Technology Support Engineer Project Role Description : Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors and help service management teams with issue analysis and resolution. Role Summary A senior-level Systems Administrator with deep expertise in enterprise Windows Server and VMware vSphere environments, including advanced virtualization platforms such as VMware vSAN, NSX-T, and Site Recovery Manager. The preferred candidate must hold atleast 1 Windows Or VMware certifications, demonstrate proficiency in scripting/automation tools, and possess working knowledge of AWS for supporting hybrid cloud workloads. AWS certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities L2/L3 Operations Perform deep RCA for major incidents including memory dumps, VMware ESXTOP analysis, and performance profiling Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) submissions and execution of critical infrastructure changes Define and refine operational runbooks for the team Manage and execute change requests following ITIL change management processes Coordinate and lead scheduled maintenance windows for Windows and VMware infrastructure Proactively identify recurring issues and propose permanent resolutions or optimized workarounds Escalate complex issues to L3/senior engineers following the defined escalation matrix Windows Server Administration Participate in Windows Server lifecycle management – OS upgrades, P2V migrations to VMware, and server decommissioning Administer Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 across physical and virtual environments Manage Active Directory including GPO configuration, OU administration, Sites & Services, and replication troubleshooting Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services Administer Windows Failover Clustering (WSFC) – setup, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting Manage DFS Namespace and DFS Replication for distributed file services Execute patch management using WSUS/SCCM and verify patch compliance across the server estate VMware vSphere Administration Administer VMware vSphere environment including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and VM lifecycle management Perform VM provisioning, cloning, snapshotting, and migration using vSphere Client and vMotion Manage and troubleshoot VMware vSphere networking – standard and distributed virtual switches (vDS), port groups, VLANs Administer VMware vSphere storage – datastores, VMFS, NFS, and thin/thick provisioning Monitor ESXi host and VM performance identify and resolve resource contention issues (CPU, memory, storage I/O) Perform ESXi host patching and upgrades using VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) Configure and manage VMware HA and DRS clusters for workload balancing and availability Support VMware vSAN (awareness) and manage basic storage policies Administer VMware Tools updates and VM hardware version upgrades Troubleshoot VM connectivity, snapshot consolidation, and datastore space issues
