Responsibilities

We’re seeking a proactive, business‑minded Product Manager to serve as the technical expert within our Roll Cover and Maintenance Technology team in the Valmet Packaging Services organization. In this high‑impact role, you will provide technical advice to the sales team and customers to develop, sell, and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customer’s needs. You’ll support customers, collaborate across sales, engineering, and operations, and help grow a critical part of our business. You’ll respond to enquiries from the organization's sales force or customers about the technical aspects of the organization's products and services., support troubleshooting, support product development, contribute to strategic planning, and help ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. You will follow systems specifications and formalized representations of solutions (for example, flow charts, models) to configure systems that meet customer needs. This position is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy and innovation. Travel is required 30–50%.

Expectations

This opportunity could be right for you if you have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with knowledge in Paper & Board processes, or a related degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience in the paper industry.

Intermediate to advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Office, general enterprise resource planning systems and customer relationship management tools are required.

Requires an excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken as the incumbent will be supporting customers based in the US and Canada. Available to travel frequently within North America.  Effective communication and presentation skills are an important part of this position.
