abra professional services is seeking an experienced Manual QA Tester to plan and execute comprehensive manual software testing for complex core systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end manual testing in an IBM Mainframe environment, including test planning, database validation, defect management, and close collaboration with development and operations teams.
This is a full-time position located in central Israel, offering a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write detailed test plans and test cases (STP/STD).
- Perform comprehensive manual testing of complex core systems in an IBM Mainframe environment.
- Work hands-on with databases, including queries, data retrieval, and database updates.
- Perform various types of testing, including Sanity, Regression, and End-to-End testing.
- Document and manage defects using designated tracking systems and collaborate closely with Development and Operations teams.
- Analyze system specifications and business requirements to design and plan effective test scenarios.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Graduate of a professional Software Testing / QA course – mandatory.
- At least 3 years of experience in Manual Software Testing (QA) – mandatory.
- Hands-on experience working in a Mainframe (MF) environment – mandatory.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience writing SQL queries – mandatory.
- Experience writing and executing test scenarios for Batch and Online (CICS) processes – mandatory.
- Experience analyzing system processes based on requirements and specification documents – mandatory.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Development, System Analysis, and Operations teams – mandatory.
Advantages:
- Previous experience in a financial or banking organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger.
