Full description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager / Coordinator for an exciting consulting assignment within a large-scale IT infrastructure transformation project.

The assignment involves leading and coordinating a migration from VMware to Proxmox, where existing virtual servers will be migrated to a new hypervisor platform.

We are seeking a structured and experienced project manager who can take ownership of planning, coordination and execution, ensuring a smooth and controlled migration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the end-to-end migration from VMware to Proxmox.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate technical specialists, IT operations teams and external suppliers.
  • Drive project activities and ensure progress against agreed objectives.
  • Identify, manage and follow up on project risks, dependencies and issues.
  • Ensure effective communication between all relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor migration progress and ensure structured execution.
  • Support project reporting and documentation throughout the assignment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technical project management or senior project coordination.
  • Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructure or technology projects.
  • Experience with PRINCE2 or similar project management methodologies.
  • Excellent Swedish communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to independently plan, coordinate and drive complex technical projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Structured, proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Experience with migrations between virtualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of VMware and Proxmox.
  • Understanding of virtualized server infrastructure.
  • Experience coordinating technical specialists, IT operations and external suppliers.
  • Previous experience with infrastructure transformation or data centre migration projects.
