What You Can Expect

Manages product(s) globally within the Infection Solutions portfolio including responsibilities for tactical and strategic plans to achieve revenue goals for the franchise. Partners with cross-functional teams to translate market insights, clinical and scientific evidence, voice-of-customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and business case analyses into clear product strategies, feature/benefit messaging, launch support, lifecycle management recommendations, and product development investment rationale. Helps define and execute plans that support revenue goals, portfolio prioritization, strategic planning, and invest/keep/retire decisions while serving as a responsive resource for internal and external stakeholders.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Gather and synthesize voice-of-customer (VOC) feedback from surgeons, infectious disease specialists, laboratorians, sales teams, medical education, and other stakeholders to inform portfolio priorities and critical investments.
  • Develop sound business cases for product and technology investments based on unmet needs, market opportunity, competitive differentiation, clinical value and overall business impact.
  • Support Strategy and Lifecycle management decisions for assigned Infection Solutions products on market. Serve as main point of contact for day-to-day activities/responsibilities for assigned products.
  • Interact with Downstream Marketing and Marcom to define clear, compliant messaging for products.
  • Partner with Downstream Marketing to create new and updated marketing materials for brand(s).
  • Collaborate with R&D, clinical, regulatory, medical education, sales, downstream marketing, market access, legal and operations to align product plans with business priorities and execution timelines.
  • Identify market trends, competitive landscape and assist the business in creating strategic plans related to orthopedic infection diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.
  • Assists with evaluating the needs of product marketing and sales personnel on a global basis.
  • May provide support for cultivating strategy at the brand and/or sub-segment level.

  • Learn aspects of medical device business including the science, products (Zimmer Biomet and competitors), research and commercialization process, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
  • Learn orthopedic market, products within assigned group, surgical process, selling process, regulatory process, development process, and marketing strategies.  
  • Knowledge of DCS, JDE, Live Link & Impromptu preferred.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience required.
  • B.A./B.S. in a Business or Marketing Specialty preferred.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience required, prior internship/co-op within medical device preferred.
  • Familiarity with Orthopedic and/or Infection products and procedures preferred.

Expected Compensation Range

$100,000 - $124,000 USD / Annual
