Full description

As an Analyst on the Macro Space Analytics (MSA) team, you will support strategic space allocation and optimization decisions for new stores, remodels, reflows, and fixture projects. You will serve as the subject matter expert on MSA data and reporting — maintaining and evolving dashboard reporting as new data pipelines come online — while providing category space guidance and optimization recommendations to partner teams. This role requires you to navigate incomplete data sets, collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Store Design, Tech, Data Science, Finance), and translate complex analyses into clear, actionable space allocation recommendations. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, creative thinker who thrives in ambiguity and can tell a compelling story with data.

Key job responsibilities ● Serves as subject matter expert on MSA data and reporting, identifying risks to data accuracy and partnering across teams as new data pipelines are established. ● Maintains and evolves dashboard reporting with new data streams and tool capabilities; creates new reporting as needs arise. ● Provides category space guidance and optimization recommendations to support partner teams with space allocation tools and understanding the impact of category space trades. ● Supports Test & Learn framework improvement to better understand impacts of space changes; partners with Product, Tech, and Merchandising Presentation on space change recapping. ● Collaborates with Tech/Data Science teams to continue evolving space elasticity modeling for optimization. ● Transforms complex data into actionable recommendations through strong storytelling, communicating key themes and patterns to business partners to influence decisions.

Skills ● Experience analyzing and visualizing data to deliver actionable, persuasive recommendations that drive business decisions. ● Ability to tell clear, concise stories with complex data across varied audiences. ● Creative problem-solving skills with the maturity to handle ambiguity and flexibility to perform in a dynamic, collaborative environment. ● Experience identifying data needs and articulating requirements to data engineers. ● Proficient in Excel; intermediate familiarity with SQL, Python, Tableau/Dashboard Tooling, and/or Alteryx. ● Strong communication skills — listening, verbal, and written — with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau), or experience working with Excel, reporting tools, and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau - 4+ years of relevant experience in retail analytics, space analytics, merchandising analytics, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the Grocery / CPG business

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
