Data Scientist Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Scientist Specialist based in Mexico.

This role offers the opportunity to lead advanced Data Science and Artificial Intelligence initiatives with significant business impact. You will transform complex structured and unstructured data into actionable insights and intelligent solutions. The position combines traditional machine learning and statistical methods with generative and agentic AI technologies. You will design and implement end-to-end AI solutions, from experimentation and architecture through production deployment. Working with large datasets, you will help solve complex business challenges and support strategic decision-making. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical judgment, creativity, and a high degree of autonomy. Accountabilities

• Analyze and interpret complex data from diverse structured and unstructured sources, including text, audio, images, and video, to generate actionable insights while applying strong analytical judgment and working with a high degree of autonomy.

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end generative and agentic AI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Cache-Augmented Generation (CAG), multi-agent architectures, vector databases, and frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.

• Develop production-quality Python code using concurrency, parallelism, threading, multiprocessing, and asynchronous programming to improve the performance and scalability of AI and machine learning pipelines.

• Evaluate, monitor, and continuously improve AI models and agents in production through rigorous evaluation practices (evals) and observability, optimizing accuracy, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Develop and refine statistical and machine learning methodologies using large datasets to address complex business problems and contribute to improved profitability.

• Apply sound technical and business judgment to translate data and AI capabilities into practical solutions that support strategic decision-making and process optimization.

• Contribute to the design of scalable architectures, cloud-based solutions, and CI/CD workflows supporting the development and deployment of AI and ML applications.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; the degree must be completed and formally obtained.

• 6+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, machine learning, or a related field.

• Strong specialization in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience writing efficient, production-quality code.

• Strong knowledge of statistical software, database languages, software architecture, cloud platforms, and CI/CD workflows.

• Practical experience with concurrent and parallel programming, including threading, multiprocessing, and asynchronous programming.

• Experience working with generative and agentic AI technologies, including RAG, CAG, multi-agent architectures, vector databases, LangChain, and LangGraph.

• Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical methodologies, with the ability to work effectively with large and complex datasets.

• Excellent critical thinking, analytical judgment, creative problem-solving, and ability to operate independently.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions.
