Job Description – Senior Engineer / Project Engineering Manager (PrEM)

Location: Kolkata / Hyderabad

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) to lead engineering activities for Rolling Stock projects, including Metro, EMU, and Passenger Coach projects. The role will be responsible for technical delivery, engineering governance, design integration, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering delivery for Rolling Stock, Metro, EMU, and Passenger Coach projects.
  • Manage technical contractual scope and ensure delivery as per Quality, Cost, Delivery & Performance (QCDP) requirements.
  • Lead project design, application engineering, system integration, and customization activities.
  • Define and implement engineering plans, processes, methods, and project controls.
  • Manage engineering changes, technical risks, and variation orders in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Lead Verification & Validation activities and support project safety requirements.
  • Functionally lead and coordinate the Project Engineering Team.
  • Act as the key technical interface with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor engineering progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering mandatory.
  • 10–15 years of engineering experience in Rolling Stock projects.
  • Strong experience in Metro / EMU / Passenger Coach / Railway projects.
  • Proven experience in Engineering Leadership, Project Execution, and Team Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Rolling Stock architecture, systems integration, and train performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing skills.
  • Age: Up to 40 Years.
