Junior Data Analyst

We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst who is ready to start or grow their career in data and business analytics. In this role, you will help collect, prepare, analyze, and visualize data from different business systems. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, learn how data supports business decisions, and contribute to reporting, data quality, and process improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help monitor and improve data quality by checking accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collect, clean, validate, and prepare data from business systems such as ERP, CRM, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Support data quality improvement initiatives by helping identify root causes of data issues, proposing simple corrective actions, and following up on agreed improvements with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Support regular reporting activities and help prepare dashboards, summaries, and data extracts for business users.
  • Document reports, data sources, definitions, and basic data preparation steps.
  • Use tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI to support analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand reporting needs and resolve routine data issues.
  • Participate in testing reports, data changes, and simple data migrations where needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Some exposure to data analysis, reporting, business systems, or process improvement through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
  • Good knowledge of spreadsheets, especially working with formulas, filters, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Basic understanding of databases and data concepts, such as tables, fields, queries, and relationships.
  • Interest in learning SQL, Power BI, and other data analysis or reporting tools.
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to investigate data issues.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both IT and business colleagues.
  • English and Czech language skills.

 

Nice to Have

  • Basic SQL knowledge or practical experience with simple queries.
  • Experience with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Exposure to ERP, CRM, or other business systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or another scripting language for data preparation is an advantage.
  • Interest in business processes, data quality, and continuous improvement.
