Position Overview: 

Entrust is seeking an iOS Sr. Software Developer in Paris, France. The Senior Software Developer (iOS) plays a key role in the design, development, and delivery of secure, high-performance mobile software solutions within the Digital Card Solution (DCS) Mobile Team.

The position focuses on the evolution of Entrust DCS iOS SDKs and mobile applications, enabling next-generation digital payment, wallet, and authentication capabilities while ensuring compliance with industry security and certification standards.

Our key product is the Full SDK, built with a Wallet at its core and meant to be integrated by Payment Card Issuers to provide features such as our Digital Card solution, HCE payment, etc. Our other products are a Whitelabel app, a Light SDK, etc

As a senior member of the engineering team, the individual contributes across the full software development lifecycle, from technical analysis and architecture design through implementation, testing, certification, and production support. The role requires strong expertise in Swift development, mobile architecture, functional testing, and CI/CD practices. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Android, Backend, QA, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions for customers across the digital payments ecosystem.

The role combines deep technical expertise with a strong sense of ownership, quality focus, and customer-centric mindset to ensure DCS mobile products remain secure, reliable, maintainable, and innovative in a rapidly evolving mobile payment landscape.

Location: Paris, France, with Hybrid work condition, 3 days per week required at the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality iOS software components, SDKs, and applications using Swift.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, testing and deployment.
  • Level 3 production support.
  • Design scalable, maintainable, and reusable software solutions that align with product and architectural objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Security, QA, DevOps, and Backend engineering teams to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Develop and maintain functional tests to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical specs elaboration.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Optimize Full SDK performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and software delivery processes in collaboration with DevOps.
  • Support certification, compliance, and security-related activities required for mobile payment and authentication solutions.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced developers through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and coaching.
  • Participate in technical planning, estimation, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging iOS technologies, frameworks, tools, and industry trends, and evaluate their applicability to DCS products.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 4+ years of experience developing native iOS applications or SDKs using Swift.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, software architecture patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex, mobile applications or SDKs.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks and platform capabilities.
  • Experience with client-server architectures.
  • Experience with multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and application performance optimization
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including unit testing and functional tests.
  • Experience using source control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automated build pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing mobile SDKs or reusable software frameworks.
  • Experience with secure software development practices and security-focused code reviews.
  • Experience in financial services, digital payments, banking, fintech, identity, or authentication solutions.
  • Knowledge of NFC technologies, contactless payment systems, digital wallets, or mobile payment ecosystems.
  • Experience integrating cryptographic APIs, certificate management, secure storage, or authentication mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with EMVCo, Visa, Mastercard, or payment-industry certification requirements.
  • Experience working with Objective-C and interoperability between Swift and Objective-C.
  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM/KMP) or cross-platform mobile architectures.
  • Experience with performance profiling and advanced debugging tools on iOS.
  • Experience designing public APIs and developer-facing SDK documentation.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
  • Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience within a software engineering team.
  • Experience with development assisted by AI
