Full description

Overview

We are seeking a full-time Business Analyst Intern for Summer 2027 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for learning and training to become a Business Analyst by working with Product Managers to provide documentation, quality control and business analysis for Garmin.

Essential Functions

  • Learn to develop requirements using use cases, scenarios, business, and workflow analysis that align with business objectives
  • Learn to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to general understanding, and distinguish user request from underlying true needs
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with development and QA team to ensure use case and test case documentation is complete
  • Learn to create and manage documentation for all stages of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Gain understanding of how to provide support to users to document requirements
  • Learn to implement documentation standards and perform documentation tracking and review

Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Business or related field
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to solve basic technical problems independently

Desired Qualifications

  • Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
