Vertiv has a transformational opportunity for a Logistics Project Manager in Westerville, OH, responsible for leading strategic logistics initiatives across the Americas Region. This role will drive the successful execution of transportation projects focused on operational excellence, transportation management system (TMS) implementation and optimization, reporting automation, data governance, and logistics process standardization.

The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, Procurement, Customer Service, and external logistics partners to deliver projects that improve service, visibility, cost performance, and customer experience. This position is highly focused on project leadership, analytics, system implementation, and continuous improvement of transportation operations across North America and international logistics networks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong transportation management expertise, project management experience, advanced analytical capabilities, and a proven track record of implementing transportation technology solutions in a manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead transportation-related strategic initiatives and projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage Transportation Management System (TMS) implementation, enhancements, integrations, testing, user adoption, and ongoing optimization activities.
  • Develop and maintain transportation reporting dashboards, KPI scorecards, and executive-level performance reporting utilizing Power BI, Oracle analytics, and other reporting tools.
  • Establish and maintain transportation data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and compliance across systems and reporting platforms.
  • Drive process standardization and best practices across transportation operations, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and logistics providers.
  • Partner with IT, Logistics, and business stakeholders to define system requirements, prioritize enhancements, and support transportation technology roadmaps.
  • Analyze transportation performance, shipment visibility, service metrics, freight spend, and carrier performance to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead data validation efforts, root cause analysis, and process audits to improve reporting accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  • Manage cross-functional project plans, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and stakeholder communications.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, status updates, steering committee reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Support carrier onboarding, EDI integration projects, transportation visibility initiatives, and control tower enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Logistics Operations to support transportation sourcing initiatives and network optimization projects.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analysis for transportation technology investments and process improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for transportation reporting, analytics, and system capabilities.
  • Support change management activities, user training, documentation development, and adoption of new transportation processes and technologies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, project management, or systems implementation roles.
  • Experience leading cross-functional transportation or supply chain projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience managing large data sets.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and reporting tool experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience working with transportation providers, 3PLs, carriers, and logistics stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and process discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience implementing or administering Transportation Management Systems (Oracle OTM, Blue Yonder, SAP TM, Manhattan, MercuryGate, etc.).
  • Oracle ERP, TMS, and WMS experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience.
  • Lean and Six Sigma certification or practical application experience.
  • Advanced Power BI, SQL, Power Query, AI, and data visualization experience.
  • Experience developing transportation control towers and visibility solutions.
  • Knowledge of EDI integrations, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and business process mapping.
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities and distribution networks.
  • Understanding of transportation operations, including truckload, LTL, parcel, intermodal, ocean, and air freight.
  • Strong change management and organizational transformation experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and technical teams.
  • English language skills required.
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred.
