Meet the Team
Cisco Collaboration Design organization is defining the next generation of product experiences and across both hardware and software. We are a global, cross-disciplinary team of designers, researchers, and technologists who care deeply about how people work together and whose innovation is reliant on the products we build. We’re committed to creating a design culture that is amazingly creative and supportive of you doing meaningful and impactful work.
Your Impact
We are looking for a Product Designer who can bring clarity to complex systems, collaborate closely with product and engineering to turn user needs, technical constraints, and product strategy into intuitive, reliable, scalable, and accessible experiences. In this role, you will:
- Design end-to-end experiences across the Collaboration software portfolio
- Partner with product managers, engineers, architects, researchers, and other designers to define user flows, interaction models, and implementation-ready designs.
- Explore how AI-assisted and agentic workflows can improve user experiences without adding friction or reducing user trust.
- Create prototypes at the right level of fidelity, from quick workflow explorations to polished concepts for stakeholder alignment, usability testing, and engineering handoff.
- Use Cisco’s design system to produce consistent, scalable experiences while identifying gaps or new patterns needed for calling-specific use cases.
- Leverage emerging technologies, tools and AI to amplify your own creativity and efficiency
- Document interaction behavior, accessibility considerations, edge cases, and design rationale for product teams.
- Help align teams around a shared product direction through strong storytelling, systems thinking, and pragmatic design judgment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of professional product design, UX design, or digital interface design experience for software applications.
- Portfolio: A digital portfolio demonstrating UX/product design case studies, interaction models, and end-to-end user workflows.
- Design Tools & Prototyping: Experience creating wireframes, component libraries, and interactive prototypes using Figma or industry-standard design tools.
- Accessibility & Specs: Experience applying digital accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG) and documenting design specifications for engineering implementation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated experience partnering directly with Product Management and Engineering teams across the product lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- AI & Agentic Design: Experience designing with and for AI-assisted workflows, automation, intelligent recommendations, or agentic software experiences.
- Multi-Platform & Hardware Integration: Experience designing across multi-platform ecosystems, including desktop, web, mobile, and hardware-integrated devices/endpoints.
- Enterprise & Regulated Environments: Familiarity with complex enterprise administration, provisioning, compliance, security, or calling/collaboration platforms.
- AI Tool Fluency & Human Judgment: Experience using AI tools to accelerate design exploration, prototyping, research synthesis, or workflow generation, paired with clear judgment about where human design thinking matters most.
- Problem-Shaping Mindset: You are comfortable shaping the problem, not just polishing the solution—asking thoughtful questions, mapping messy workflows, prototyping quickly, and bringing the right people into the conversation so the work moves forward.
